FMO Apartments Boavista

The room was dirty, and there was black mold around the shower silicone. We were also locked out when the keypad failed, then waited outside for over 30 minutes because the host wouldn't pick up the phone. Communication was a nightmare, with replies coming eventually by email instead. At the start, the host said we'd arrived a day early even though our booking was correct. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I would never stay here again.

There were cockroaches, and the showers flooded. I've tried reaching them by email and phone for a week, but they won't respond. Avoid this place if cleanliness and decent service matter to you.

The host was so kind and made our last-minute requests work, including an early check-in after my mom had an accident. I stayed in two different rooms, and both were really nice and very clean. I'd definitely stay at Fmo again if I return to Porto.

Room 4 is very spacious, the beds are comfortable, and both the air conditioning and refrigerator worked. We parked across the street in the La Musica parking garage, which was convenient, and there's an online discount for multi-day stays. Still, I can't rate it highly because the shower grout was moldy. Replacing it shouldn't be difficult, and it came across as neglect or a way to squeeze more profit out of the place. If you care about the property and guests, details like that matter. We could also use the terrace or balcony at the back, but its door doesn't lock, so someone could get in from outside if they reached the courtyard. The wooden floor was pretty worn and scratched too. We had a nice vacation, but we wouldn't return.
