We loved spending evenings on the terrace listening to the street performers, and even though the hotel is right in the city center, it was quiet at night. The location made it easy to walk wherever we wanted to go. We stayed in Suite Sé (IX) for three nights over the holidays. The bed was very comfortable, and the internet worked well for both work and streaming. Staff were lovely throughout, always welcoming and ready to help. We also enjoyed having breakfast brought to our room each morning for an extra fee. We could choose the time and order the night before, with options like breads, yogurt, fruit, meat and cheese, bacon, and different egg dishes. I’d seen comments that made me wonder about bathroom privacy and having to ring the bell to get in. Neither was a problem for us. The bathroom arrangement was fine, and our wait at the door was never longer than 30-60 seconds. I’d happily return and recommend the hotel.

Room IX (9) made our three-night Porto trip especially memorable. We loved sitting on the balcony above a lively square, with lovely views of the cathedral and rooftops and live music each evening. Just be aware that the bathroom has no traditional door, so privacy is a little reduced. The hotel has only 10 rooms, and the team was welcoming and attentive. Breakfast was delicious, with the time and menu chosen the evening before. There was also good coffee and an honor bar available during the day. It’s an ideal base for getting around on foot. We didn’t need an Uber or taxi at all during our stay, and we’d be glad to stay in Room IX again.

We booked Room II on the plane to Porto for an impromptu three-night trip last month. The room was comfortable and had its own outdoor patio, and the hotel’s central location was fantastic. This small boutique place has 10 rooms and a very attentive staff. Breakfast was cooked to order, with fresh bread, homemade jams, local honey, and house-made yogurt. They also arranged a great dinner for us and had plenty of tour options. Thanks to Marco, Philippa, and Susan for the thoughtful attention to detail. The whole team provided fantastic service, and I’d stay here again.

The terrace room on the top floor has a stunning view, so I’d recommend that one. We loved the central spot on a pedestrian street, not far from the river, and the breakfast was included and very good. The place is beautifully decorated and has a family-run feel. It’s easily our favorite hotel we’ve stayed at.
