We arrived early and tried to get in touch with our host before the scheduled time, but couldn't reach her. After many calls, she said there was an apartment problem and asked us to wait. A few hours later, she sent us to another place she'd arranged for one night. The next day we called again. The apartment was supposed to be ready at noon, but it wasn't. We got the key and found other people's belongings inside. When we called, the host told us to leave our bags there and wait until late afternoon, after the other guests had finished lunch and the place could be cleaned. We contacted Airbnb and cancelled. In the end we found somewhere else to stay, and the host said some unkind things to us. Never again. I have proof of all the communications with the host and Airbnb.

We lost a day of our three in Porto dealing with this apartment. On arrival, there was a drainage problem, and the owner put us up somewhere else. Communication was awful: for over two hours she didn't answer while we were stuck in an unfamiliar neighborhood with our suitcases. She said we could return the next day and that the apartment would be ready. We picked up the keys, but found a family's belongings still inside. We left straight away. The owner then said the family was about to leave and just needed to finish eating. We eventually cancelled and found another place. The poor communication was the worst part. She didn't seem attentive or understand how hard it is to be in another country with your luggage and no familiar surroundings. She only communicated better once we'd cancelled and got our money back, then insulted me over WhatsApp. Don't book with her. Our experience was terrible.

The apartment was spotless and had everything needed for a short Porto visit. Very central, too.
