Quinta do Paraizo

Ana made us feel welcome from the start. She was quick to respond, showed us around her cozy property and beautiful gardens, and shared lots of recommendations for Sao Miguel. She was super friendly, cleaned the room each day, replenished the towels, and changed the sheets halfway through our stay. We spent six nights in the studio, which was better than we expected and had a comfortable amount of space, plus a fridge and kitchen area. Breakfast was a great way to start each day, and the pool was especially nice to have in the hot weather. The location is fairly central, around 12 minutes from Ponta Delgada and 10 minutes from the north, but you'll definitely need a rental car. We had a lovely visit and would recommend staying here.

It really felt like home. The people were so nice and friendly, and the garden was beautiful, full of flowers and vegetables. There was a pool, jacuzzi, and an outdoor kitchen too. A lovely place to read, relax, or meet the other guests.

We felt like family here. Ana was a wonderful host, easy to reach, very accommodating, and full of good suggestions for places to visit and things to do. The peaceful, beautiful property was quiet at night, and we looked forward to the breakfasts each morning. We also enjoyed the pool and exploring the grounds. The dogs who live there greeted us every morning, which was a bonus. I'm glad we chose this farm stay instead of a big hotel or the city. It's about 15 minutes from the capital and central for getting around the island. If you love nature, you'll love this place. I'd happily recommend it to friends and other travelers.

We had a clean, comfortable room and a generous breakfast that was both delicious and beautiful. The property itself is absolutely lovely, and its central location was convenient. Our host Ana gave us excellent tips on the area, where to eat, and what to see. Highly recommend!
