After a full day hiking or sightseeing, we were always glad to come back here. We stayed three nights in the White Appartment, a charming renovated estate, and enjoyed it all. Our place was spacious, clean and well kept, with a comfortable bed, a small cot for our daughter, and a roomy bathroom with a great shower. The vintage and modern decor worked really well together. The setting is quiet and tucked away in the countryside, but the town and the road between the east and west coasts are still close. The gardens and paths are well maintained, there is a modern swimming pool, and parking is plentiful. We appreciated the welcome gift, too. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a filter coffee maker. The only thing we missed was a washing machine.

Gabi gave us a warm welcome, showed us around the unit and left a basket of Azorean treats. The beds were comfortable, and having a pool was a lovely bonus. This countryside property has a great mix of rustic charm and modern convenience. It's a good central base for exploring the island, though nothing of note is really within walking distance. We had a car, so that wasn't an issue. Thanks for having us.

The pool was lovely for a quiet afternoon after hiking, and the whole place was very clean. They provided towels and offered to change them during our stay. Our hosts were really friendly, and welcomed us with a basket. A few days later they brought over some homemade cake and a bottle of wine, which was so kind. The location was just right for our nine days on São Miguel, peaceful and central, near Ribeira Grande. We couldn't have asked for a better place. 10/10.

We spent seven wonderful days in the apartment with the mountain view. The hosts were lovely and had a gift basket ready for us when we arrived. It's a great base for exploring the whole island, and the pool was a nice way to cool off after a day out.
