We had just one night here in August with our camper van. The restaurant has a great view over the Douro river, and there’s a lovely pool too. The bathroom block was clean and well equipped. The girl at reception was especially nice and helpful, and a short walk takes you to a gorgeous waterfall with a natural swimming pool.

We loved that the pool was still open in the off-season. There were a few cute goats wandering around the campsite, and a short hiking trail to waterfalls is easy to reach. The campsite is beautiful, the sanitary facilities were clean, and the staff were friendly. We were almost the only ones there at the end of October, and it was pretty quiet since the road nearby doesn’t get much traffic at night.

The tent pitches are really cute, almost like little private balconies. We stayed one night in a tent and loved the location. There weren’t many people around, which made it feel special to us. There’s also a restaurant with a spectacular view over the river, and a route to the waterfall goes straight from the campsite.

We came in our campervan planning to stay one night, but liked the site enough to stay for two and eat at the restaurant both evenings. It was super clean and well equipped. We visited in April, when it was quiet, though we understand it gets busy in summer, understandably. The staff were lovely and couldn’t have been friendlier. We walked to the waterfall. It’s 35 euros, but worth it for such a lovely stay.

The location up in the mountains is beautiful, and I’d highly recommend the site. Our motorhome pitch was a lovely hard standing one with water, and everyone was friendly and helpful. Cecelia arranged a day trip for us with a boat ride and wine tasting, which was excellent. She’s lovely and really knowledgeable. There’s also a swimming pool and a restaurant.
