The view is magnificent and absolutely lives up to the hotel's name. Waking up to the surrounding landscape is something I'll remember. Breakfast was another highlight, delicious and full of fresh, tasty choices to start the day. From the moment I arrived, the reception team greeted me with warmth and kindness. Check-in was quick and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and professional. I highly recommend Hotel da Montanha for a restful stay, good service and unforgettable scenery. I can't wait to return!

The view from the window is incredible, the rooms are clean, and the location is great. I can't recommend the restaurant, though. We tried a few dishes and everything seemed very greasy. The waiters didn't seem to know the menu, either. When we asked what ingredients were in a dish, the waitress couldn't say and had to check with her colleagues.

The hotel is in an amazing location, and the view is stunning. The restaurant food was good, but nothing special. The front desk lady was a bit rude. She gave me the wrong directions to the parking lot, then argued for a while when I pointed it out, even though she admitted she hadn't given good directions.

The region is beautiful, with lovely landscapes nearby, and the quiet setting is relaxing if you're looking to rest. Still, for the price, I'd expect more to do in the evenings to meet people and share some time. The spa is fairly standard. Go early if you can, because later it may be dirty, and there's no maintenance or staff around. We had issues that disrupted our holiday. A pipe leaked in our room, costing us two hours and forcing us to change our plans. When we asked for help, they offered €5 for a room costing €105 a night. The breakfast was standard, and the jet pool wasn't working on two days. They may say to call or email later to share the experience, but they avoided us at the time. It was still an okay experience, but a lot was missing for a four-star hotel.

The hotel feels a bit dated, but the rooms with a view are adequate and have balconies. Staff are friendly, though clearly too few and inexperienced, mostly kids. That shows most in the restaurant, where service is painfully slow and waiters make rookie mistakes. Even so, I still recommend it. The location over the Zêzere river is excellent.
