There isn't a proper reception, just contact by phone and Booking.com. After making my reservation, I went in and didn't notice anything wrong at first, but there was no way to see the room beforehand. They said alcohol wasn't allowed, yet a guy drank beer all day. I went to sleep at midnight and woke to a disgusting smell. The room had gone from acceptable to horrible. There was no privacy, mosquitoes everywhere, and the shower and toilet were dirty. I left at 3 am, feeling like I was about to vomit. I called my friend, who came from lisbon to pick me up. One of my worst nights in Portugal.

The location is great and the price isn't bad, but there was no privacy in this hostel because none of the doors lock.
