Quintal do Castelo

The garden pool was well maintained and checked twice a week, though the garden itself could use some care. We stayed for a pleasant week and a half, and the location in the village was ideal. It’s also easy to drive to the coast and explore from there. We were in the blue apartment at the end of July. It felt a bit dated, especially the kitchen, which needs renovating. The kitchens and amenities in the yellow and red apartments were noticeably more modern and up to date. Overall, I’d recommend the complex.

A little gem in the oldest town in the Algarve. We stayed in the yellow house (casa amarela), which was spacious and very well equipped for a family of four, especially the kitchen. The garden is beautiful, with a pool, BBQ and orange trees. From the house, it’s an easy stroll into Silves’ pretty, cozy streets, with restaurants, the cathedral and the castle.

The garden is gorgeous, with lots of seating, and there’s a lovely pool with sun loungers in a peaceful setting. We got a friendly welcome, with homemade jam, fruit and a bottle of wine waiting for us. I stayed in the red house. There are also blue and yellow houses, each decorated with great taste in its own style, and all three share access to the garden. Highly recommended!

The garden and pool are incredibly beautiful, and the apartment is lovely. It was a really nice stay, thank you. One thing, though: the rooms have no partitions, and under the roof it gets very hot at the end of July without air conditioning. I ended up sleeping outside :-)
