Rui and his son run the hotel, and they took great care of us. They even carried our huge bags up the stairs, which we really appreciated since we'd booked on the highest floor without thinking about how heavy the luggage would be. If you're traveling with big bags or have trouble with stairs, I'd suggest booking a first-floor room. Breakfast comes with the room. It was simple but very good. The location makes it easy to get around, with restaurants all around. The outdoor garden is a nice place to relax, with a good view of the sunset and castle.

The father and son who hosted us were attentive and kind the whole time, even when we were sitting outside with wine in mid October. The weather was awesome, so we made the most of it. Breakfast was wonderful, and the service was great. They never made us feel neglected. It felt like a five-star stay to us. Book here and you won't regret it.

Rui made us feel at home. He's always available for a chat or a recommendation, and since he grew up in Sintra, he knows the area well. The hotel is excellent and very well located. It was so much nicer than staying somewhere in a big, impersonal chain.

A lovely little family-run place. The stairs might not suit everyone, but they were no problem for us. Our room was comfortable and very nice, with a roomy shower in the bathroom. Breakfast was wonderful, and it's a short, lovely walk to the old town. Highly recommend.

The father and son running Hotel Nova Sintra really set the bar for hospitality. They were exceptional, and everything about our stay was lovely. Our room was clean, comfortable and really nice, and the terrace was a great spot to unwind after sightseeing. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of choices for different diets, plus fresh juice and coffee. The location is perfect. My husband and I walked to Centro in less than 10 minutes, hiked up to Pena Palace in about an hour, and found free parking within a five-minute walk. The hotel is close to everything. We have nothing negative to say. This place deserves ten stars!
