The view was amazing, the rooms were clean, and the staff were lovely, but the food was average. I don’t usually write bad reviews, though our experience with the manager was disappointing. My pregnant friend was overheated after walking up a steep hill in 30-degree heat, and they wouldn’t let her take a brief dip in the pool because we were checking out that morning. We’d used the rooms, rented paddle boards, and eaten all our meals at their café. We weren’t asking to stay all day, only for her to cool off. That lack of compassion was unacceptable.

We had the entire place to ourselves, and the lake was stunning. They had kayaks available, and Sofia was amazing about making sure we were looked after. This was definitely the best stay I’ve had in my year living in Portugal. I could have spent a whole month here and can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful scenery and good value for money. Villa Nova Nautic & Nature is in Vila Nova - Serra, Tomar, with an outdoor pool and garden. The rooms are nice, with balconies overlooking the dam. It can be very quiet at times, though the nearby access to the dam brings all kinds of noise. Drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, and snacks are reasonably priced. Breakfast is quite good, especially on the large balcony looking out over the dam. You can also rent a bike, kayak, paddle, and more. The property has a terrace and shared lounge, and the accommodation offers luggage storage and free WiFi.

The location is great, right above the water. The room was really comfortable, and the service was perfect. A great stay in a beautiful hotel. Five stars.
