We really liked our apartment on the second floor. It was spacious, tidy and clean, and perfect for couples. The house has 4 apartments and looks modern and simple inside. When we arrived, the owner showed us upstairs and went over a few rules. She lives right next door, and the booklet on the table had recommendations for cafés, restaurants and sights in Vila do Conde. We tried her suggestion, the steak restaurant Bifeiros, and the food was delicious. There isn't air conditioning, but there is a very powerful fan. Coffee and tea are free, and there's all the cutlery and crockery you'd need. Countless restaurants are within walking distance. The beach is 10-15 minutes away, and the train station takes 10 minutes to reach. Porto is about 30 minutes by car, and the airport about 22 minutes. The street the house is on has great charm, with lots of old-style houses. We loved it and want to thank the very friendly owner again. Thank you very much.

For me, this is the best place to live in Vila do Conde. It's an architectural jewel, with beautiful spaces and colours set among 500 years of history.
