Apartamentos Vila Nova

The beach is a 15-minute walk away, and the restaurants and nightlife are only five minutes away. The location is great, and the place was impeccably clean. The staff were very friendly. Nothing too concerning, but the fridge didn’t work properly, even though the freezer was fine, and a quick explanation of how to use the sofa bed would be helpful.

We had a wonderful two-week holiday here. The apartment was great and practically furnished. The bedroom and bathroom are upstairs, reached by a fairly steep staircase. Even though it faces the street, the soundproof windows keep most of the noise out. Shops and two excellent bakeries are an easy walk away, along with lots of fantastic restaurants. The beach is about 15 minutes on foot, and there’s plenty of parking if you’d rather drive. We always went to Praia das Furnas, where the Rio Mira meets the Atlantic Ocean. The water is incredibly clear, and you can really feel the tides. The temperature is typical for the Atlantic. When we were there in September/October, it was 17°C (63°F). Swimming was wonderful, and there are water sports available too. To experience the Atlantic Ocean, walk or drive to the end of the beach road, then take the wooden steps down to the beach.

The location is really good, with good general facilities. The beach is 10 minutes away, and there are quality restaurants nearby.

Right in the center of the vila, with excellent hygiene and comfort. Ideal for a few beach days with friends or family. I’ll be back!
