We were in Vila Real for a football tournament, and the quinta welcomed our group so warmly. The place is beautiful and nicely decorated. The food was excellent, with Transmontana-style smoked meats, feijocas with pork, presunto and more, all accompanied perfectly by the fantastic Vila Real wine. Congratulations to the quinta and its staff.

I attended a wedding here. The space is pretty and cozy, though not very large, and the staff were attentive. But everything felt a bit rushed: they brought out the starters and main courses in a hurry, then at 4:30 pm they closed the doors in a rather rude way. We’d entered the hall at 1 pm.

I wasn’t there long, but it seemed like a good spot for groups of up to 80. The food was reasonable, and so were the desserts. Staff kept clearing the used dishes, which helped keep things organized. It’s outside the city but still very close.

The price was excessive for the quality of service. The water served at the table in a glass jug smelled and tasted of disinfectant, which made it seem like it came from the tap.
