The couple running this hotel were so kind throughout my pleasant stay. I don't speak Spanish yet, so when it was time to leave they helped call my next hotel. On May 1st, there was a protest on the nearby corner by the Ministry of Labor. The streets were almost empty, and no taxis were passing on their own. The woman ordered a ride for me and waited with me at a nearby street corner until it found us, more than 10 minutes later. I'm very grateful for her help.

We had a blast staying here. Our hosts communicated wonderfully and made sure we were comfortable. They showed us how to drink Yerba Mate and Terere, which was fun. For the price, it was a steal: a huge bunk-bed room for four people and a full kitchen. You do have to turn on the gas yourself, but that was part of the adventure! The apartments are just a short walk from the stores and restaurants downtown, and Plaza Uruguaya is lovely, with vendors and musicians. I realized I never got around to writing this review before, so here it is.

Marcos and Gabriela are a friendly, cool couple. The room is nicely furnished and has air conditioning, and the price is very reasonable. I recommend it.

The location is central, and señora Gabriela is very attentive and kind. She explained in great detail what to watch out for so I could get around the city comfortably. There's a small kitchen area where you can make breakfast, with a separate tap away from the bathroom, which feels hygienic.
