Terwindt Hotel

Great value in a really nice town. The owners were very helpful, and there was a pool to cool off in. A lovely, safe place to spend a few nights in Encarnacion.

The room looked very clean and smelled fresh, unlike the sewer-drain smell we've noticed in other places. The father and daughter who own the hotel were professional, courteous, and excellent with local restaurant recommendations. They also handled an incident with an unruly Uber driver professionally and explained to him how to treat customers better. The laundry and housekeeping staff did a great job with our laundry for a reasonable fee. Highly recommended. We'll definitely stay here again when we're in the area.

Amazing 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

The location is really handy, close to everything that matters. Within three blocks there's the main square, supermarkets, and Gosh Sandwich House, which is open 24 hours. We'd definitely come back. It's a lovely hotel with a very family-like atmosphere. Our suite was spotless, the cleaning service was very good, and most of the staff were kind and cheerful, especially the person in charge of the buffet. There's a small central patio with a pool that's great for beating the heat. I'd point to two weak spots. Parking is limited, though street parking didn't feel like a big concern because the area is very safe. Also, breakfast is the only meal offered, and I missed having more protein, especially the usual scrambled eggs. The food leaned heavily toward carbs. Still, everything available was fresh and tasty.
