The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very nice. The location is beautiful, though the hotel is getting run down. The restaurant and bar only open Friday through Sunday, so if you want a beer by the pool at other times, you have to fend for yourself.

The garden is awesome, and the patio is a peaceful place to spend an afternoon. It’s a beautiful building in a great location, but the hotel needs a facelift and a thorough cleaning. The front desk person was about as unfriendly as possible.

The grounds and location are absolutely magical, and the hotel has a beautiful historic feel, though it’s starting to age a bit. I’ve wanted to visit for ages because one of the greatest musicians of all time, Paraguayan Composer and Guitarist Agustín Barrios Mangoré, played here.

We had lunch at hotel restaurant football.estaurabt. The Wagyu beef cost 150.000, and we were told it would be 450gr, but it looked closer to 350gr and the taste really didn’t impress me. Such a waste of money. What surprised me most was the extra 24.000 cutlery charge on the bill. What? It must be a joke. Are customers meant to eat with their hands if cutlery isn’t provided? They showed me the note on the menu, down at the bottom of the last page.
