Retaj Salwa Resort & Spa

The pool is spacious, though I wish swimming hours ran longer since it isn’t open around the clock. There’s no beach, but the rooms are beautiful and comfortable, and the resort feels cozy and family-friendly. I also liked the little tucked-away swing area and the cute ducks wandering around. There are ping pong and football facilities too, so we bring a ball and play together. The breakfast buffet has lots of variety, especially the egg station. We always come to Retaj Resort as a family, and the service has been wonderful each time. With five rooms booked for our big family, they kindly upgraded one to a suite. That was a lovely gesture, though I did wish they’d upgraded two rooms. There aren’t people wearing revealing clothes, which also suits us. We hope to book again this month and get the same warm treatment.

Mr. Quail at the front desk went out of his way to get me the pool-facing terrace room with a great view that I’d hoped for. The hotel was nearly full on my check-in day, and none seemed available. Even with the lobby busy and crowded, he asked me to wait briefly, called to check, and managed to accommodate my request. His kindness and professionalism made the stay more pleasant and memorable.

Our kid had a fantastic time in the swimming pool, and seeing that made the stay extra special. We also brought family friends for breakfast, and the hotel had a Buy 1 Get 1 Pool Day Pass with breakfast through the MyBook app. It was a great deal, and having friends join us to enjoy the facilities made the day more fun and memorable. The buffet breakfast had loads of choices and tasted great, and the BBQ dinner was one of the highlights. Everyone was friendly and helpful, from the staff to the accommodating security guards at the entrance. They really made us feel at home. Our stay at Retaj Salwa Resort & Spa was a pleasure, and we’d happily recommend it for a relaxing family getaway. We can’t wait to return!

A special thank you to OUAEL at reception for helping me this weekend. He was friendly and patient from check-in through answering my questions, and he genuinely cared about making me feel welcome. You can tell he takes pride in his work. His positive attitude turned a good stay into a great one, and I hope management recognizes what an asset he is.
