Green Park Hotel

I ate at green ParkHotel Restaurant yesterday, and Mr. Sandesh made me feel completely at home. His hospitality was outstanding and left me excited and happy. The food was fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented, just amazing. Mr. Sandesh is a real asset to the hotel. If they keep staff like him, the place will surely reach a higher level.🎖️

The suite was good value, with a comfortable bed, a big deep bath, a large shower, a comfy sofa, and free comfortable sleepers. There were two TVs, one in the lounge and one in the bedroom, plus good English film channels. Everything was super clean throughout, and the staff were friendly, especially Felix the security guard. Breakfast was poor and basic. The coffee was cheap Nescafe, not freshly brewed. The pool area looked a bit scruffy and needs a full renovation, with too few sun loungers and indoor chairs. The in-room fridge didn’t work, and some of the lights didn’t work either.

We only ended up staying overnight here by accident, but it was a really impressive surprise. The front desk, butler, and security staff were all so nice and ready to help. One chubby butler enthusiastically carried our luggage from the car up to the room. I wanted to tip him, but I was flustered after missing the flight. The room was clean, tidy, and bigger than I expected. It was beyond expectations.

We’re stuck in Doha because the airspace closed. After the ministry announced that hotels had to provide free accommodation to stranded travelers, I called GP to ask whether we could get a refund for the two nights we’d already paid for. We’re staying at a hostel now to save money. The manager was rude and condescending, kept interrupting me, and wouldn’t let me finish a sentence even when I asked him to stop. Then he hung up. If you’re okay dealing with rude staff during an already stressful time, go ahead and book here.
