Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha

The view from our room over the beach was breathtaking. Rixos made our anniversary feel extra special with a nicely presented message waiting in the room when we arrived. The food and drinks were really good, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Mr Hakeem, Ms Arju, Ms Ada, and barista Mr Putra were especially attentive and friendly, helping my husband and me during our stay and while we dined at the restaurant.

Our parents spent most of their time relaxing with tea on the suite balcony, with its daybed and lovely view of Doha. We booked two nights at Rixos for their visit, and the team upgraded their room to a suite, giving them plenty of extra space. Before they arrived, Mr Savio and Ms Sanita thoughtfully discussed and personalized the arrangements. At check-in, Mr Hasna at the front desk greeted them warmly and made me feel they’d be well looked after. Thank you to all of them for the extra effort and genuine care. Breakfast was a particular highlight. There was an amazing range of breads, cold cuts, salads, and croissants, plus a live station with more options than I’d seen before. The breakfast staff were attentive and helpful. The resort has two good-sized pools, one near the breakfast restaurant and one by the beach, with enough sunbeds and daybeds for people to relax. The atmosphere around the beach pool felt relaxing and lively at once. The rooms and public areas were clean and well maintained. The location is ideal, close to the airport and within reach of the city and main attractions. There are lots of activities, and the facilities suit families. For what we paid for those two nights, it was great value. I’d recommend Rixos for a family stay, and a room overlooking the pool and beach.

We’ve just come back from two weeks at Rixos Gulf Doha. The team kept the resort, our room, and the facilities exceptionally clean, and the hotel and room facilities were of a very high standard. Staff were well trained and made sure we had what we needed. We tried all the restaurants and found the food and drinks excellent. Service in both à la carte restaurants was outstanding, especially Togu at Mr Tailor’s and the two young Indian waiters at Rasa. We also used the Concierge to arrange several days out. Sonita was knowledgeable and helpful, and one morning even chased us up the road to share extra information to make our trip more enjoyable. Sonia and Eric from Customer Relations were brilliant and helped make the stay unforgettable. Many staff went above and beyond.

The way the hotel handled Ramadan was thoughtful and respectful. We could still have breakfast without feeling disrespectful toward fasting staff or other guests, thanks to the restaurant blinds being lowered for privacy. At the pool, cold drinks were served discreetly inside the small pavilions. Our family of four had plenty of room in the spacious, comfortable, well-designed suite. The kids loved the kids club, and the dedicated kids room near the main restaurant made meals much easier and more relaxed for us. Friendly staff and family-friendly facilities made for a lovely visit. We’d happily come back.
