Steigenberger Residence Doha

The housekeeping team, especially Rakibul and Aminul, really stood out during my stay at Steigenberger Residence Doha. Every day they were friendly, polite, and careful about getting the room spotless and ready. Their consistency and attention to detail made a real difference. The residence itself was modern, spacious, very clean, and comfortable. It had a homey feel, and everything seemed well organised from the moment I arrived. Thanks to both of them for such warm, professional service.

The room pool space and the rest of the room were great, and the room itself was clean, well equipped, and maintained. The residential-side room was excellent. The location was only average, though it was reasonably accessible. Most of the staff were lovely, especially the bellboys and housekeeping team, who were polite, friendly, and always smiling. Reception was a different story: no greeting, and the attitude came across as dismissive. For what we paid, I expected better service there.

We are still here, but honestly I just want to get home. The whole stay has been stressful and unhygienic, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, especially families. When we arrived, there were fruit or drain flies in every room of the apartment, including cupboards, bathrooms, and even inside the beds. We have a child with us, so finding flies in the beds was distressing. It seemed clear the apartment hadn't been properly cleaned or checked before we checked in. Trying to sort it out with staff took the whole evening, so we couldn't go out as planned. The TV also didn't work, which made it seem like basic checks hadn't been done. They moved us to another apartment the next day, but we had to wait until the afternoon, disrupting our plans again and costing us a full day out. For compensation, they offered use of the hot jacuzzi and a late checkout. That's frankly diabolical after spending the night in a fly-infested apartment with a child and losing valuable trip time. I wouldn't come back.

The valet was slow, and it felt like service depended on whether they liked you. Sultan made me wait longer and let other people in line go ahead. I don't know what I said or did to him. The room was noisy, the A/C was awful, and service overall was slow and bad. There were stains and disgusting spots on the carpet and sofa, the towel was old, torn, and had holes, and I had to beg for extra bedding, blankets, and sheets. The location didn't work for me either, with traffic on a busy street and tourist sites far away. The price was expensive.
