I rarely feel this at home in a place far from my own. No matter how nice the facilities or decor, nothing really compares with home, but this apartment made me feel I could stay forever, like it was my second home. It's small, yet has everything I expected: a clean bathroom, kitchenette, king size bed, big windows, gas heating, and nice lighting. It's hard to put into words what makes it feel so warm. The apartment is in a traditional old house in the very Old City Center, with a fantastic location. You're in the center but outside the No Car Zone, and parking on the street right in front is easy. From there it's about 200 m to the Evanghelical Church, the big Orthodox Cathedral, and the pedestrian area. The owner is a special person and a pleasure to deal with. I checked in at 3 o'clock in the morning, and he stayed awake waiting for me. God bless him. There was also a six pack of mineral water and good coffee in the room, a courtesy from the house. Bistrita itself is exceptional and beautiful. Go enjoy the charm of its medieval decor alongside modern life.
