The food, oh wow, Marian is the best chef! His Papanaşi are the best in town. It’s a cozy place with very clean rooms and lovely service, right by the forest where you can enjoy the fresh air. There’s private parking and a park for kids too.

Marian makes you feel at home here. We booked three rooms and enjoyed mornings with good music. The rooms are large, and breakfast is fresh with different flavors to suit everyone. The hotel is a few minutes’ walk from the main Center /pietas. You can also walk there in around 15 minutes, take bus #50, or get an Uber for about 14Ron, which takes 4-6 minutes. There’s night fun, great food and lots of pubs near by in the center. It’s a great area to explore. Come and enjoy.

Marian made our visit. He gave us the best service, and whatever food we asked for, whenever we asked, he got it for us with such a warm, welcoming attitude. We came from England and were really impressed. The place is in the heart of Schei, just a short walk from the old town. We’d definitely recommend it.

The papanași were the highlight: warm Romanian doughnuts with a golden outside and soft, fluffy middle, topped with rich sour cream and plenty of homemade berry jam. The sweet and creamy combination was divine. I also loved the intimate, elegant atmosphere at Pietrele lui Solomon, in the historic Șchei district. The staff were exceptionally attentive and friendly, and their care for traditional Romanian cuisine shows in every dish. If you’re in Brașov, it’s well worth a visit, especially for the outstanding papanași. A lovely taste of Romanian food.
