We were meant to stay in one of the villa’s flats on 13/05/2026. After booking and paying at the end of April, we called Marius (owner/admin?) on 12/05/2026 to ask how to check in. He said the instructions would arrive the next day, but they never came. When we tried calling again, he blocked us. We were left without a place to stay and unsure whether our money would be returned. On different sites, this accommodation appears under names including Golden Villa and Goolden Residence. Looking more closely at booking sites, we found this apparently wasn’t the first time something like this had happened. We managed to stay with relatives and got our money back because we’d booked through an agency, but nobody covered the taxi costs. Imagine arriving from another country and being left stranded in Bucharest. AVOID, POSSIBLE SCAM!

Marius was so friendly and helpful, which made the stay really pleasant. The rooms were spotless, and the beds were very comfortable. It was also easy to get to attractions and public transport, so the location worked perfectly for exploring the city.

We were a group of 15 and stayed there last month. The place was very clean and pleasant, right in the heart of Bucharest Old Town. The owner was quick to respond too.

The accommodation was booked and paid for, but the owner was nowhere to be found. He stopped answering my calls and blocked me, leaving me stranded. It’s the same address and owner as Golden Residence, with the same photos.

It’s spacious and very primitive. We liked being close to the Caru' cu bere restaurant, where our event was taking place.
