The location is right in central Bucharest, in an old building with a wooden entrance door and stairs that feel like a 1900s apartment block. Inside, the hotel has been fully renovated. The rooms are roomy and furnished with what you need, and the bathrooms are small but perfectly usable. Depending on the apartment, you’ll have either a shower or a tub. There’s a shared kitchen rather than a separate one for each room. It’s on the small side, but does the job. WiFi is free, and some snacks or drinks may be complimentary. Meals are available for an extra charge, as they aren’t included in the booking. A cozy place with a thoughtful design, and I had a pleasant stay.

The room was clean, though there’s construction work happening right now and the noise starts early in the morning. You have to call a staff member to get the key.

We were left waiting until morning to find another hotel after arriving at midnight to what looked like an actual construction site. We had booked through Expedia, but the owner, a Hebrew-speaking man, hadn’t sent directions even at the last minute. Our taxi driver tried to reach him for help, but he wouldn’t answer. We ended up in a room about one meter by one meter with an agency bed. This “hotel” doesn’t exist as advertised. The man is rude and, in my view, a fraudster. I can’t believe the positive reviews are genuine, and suspect they may be fake. After seeing our review the next day, he contacted us on WhatsApp and threatened us to get it removed. We’re still dealing with the Romanian police, who take harm to tourists very seriously.
