Stanford Aparthotel Gara de Nord

The room looked nice and clean, and the rooms were good. Whenever I had trouble, even with the code, I called the number in my email and he helped right away. The workers are all foreigners and speak English, so if you’re a foreigner, that’s what they speak. You’re 5-10 minutes from the city Center by bus or tram, and the bus stop is a one-minute walk around the corner. The area doesn’t feel very safe, but what do you expect? You get what you pay for. It’s really amazing otherwise. My honest view: if you’re Romanian, it’s 100% 4 stars. That’s my honest review!

There was dirt piled around the building, and inside the toilets were dirty, the shower was mouldy, and the floor was bare. The pillows were dirty with large brown stains, and there were no utensils. I went two days without showering and tried to use the toilet more when I was out. Nothing to write home about, very disgusting. I’m never coming back.

The one good thing was how responsive and friendly the owner was. Even though the booking policy didn’t include a refund, they agreed to return our money, and we really appreciate that. The photos seemed misleading or old. It wasn’t very clean, there was a bit of a sink stink, and there were stains on the walls and bed. There was no receptionist.

Lovely.
