Ajka at reception made a difficult situation with a dishonest taxi driver much easier. She was kind, professional, and went out of her way to help us, which my family and I really appreciated. We spent two nights at Hotel Zava in Bucharest. It's well maintained and comfortable, about 1 km from the city center, so we could see the main attractions while staying in a quieter neighborhood. The whole team helped make our visit pleasant. Thanks to Ajka and everyone at Hotel Zava. I'd definitely recommend it to people visiting Bucharest.

The area was quiet but still central, which was a plus, and the breakfast was really nice. We stayed one night and had a great time. The front desk agents were friendly and suggested some really nice restaurants. Our check-in agent even brought us coffee when we arrived, a lovely touch after an early flight day. Highly recommended!

The day before I was due to arrive, I got a call saying a trainee had made a mistake and the hotel was already fully booked. I had to find another room for the night. At least they refunded my money.

We stayed one night with our clean, well-behaved, well-cared-for dogs, which we were told the hotel welcomed. We paid a hefty fee for them. In the morning, the hotel said they wouldn't return our large 120 euro deposit because there was hair on the carpet. That isn't true. We feel the hotel is cheating and extorting money.

The room was clean and warm, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended.
