Reception is closed overnight, from 00:00 to 06:00. The staff were nice, and there's a tennis court on site. The location is near the center. The building feels dated and needs renovation. I paid 185 lei a night with breakfast, so at that price I think it was worth it, which is why I gave it four stars. If all you need is a bed and shower, it works. For more than that, I'd look elsewhere.

I wasn't a guest, so I can't comment on the rooms, but the staff were really helpful when I had a problem with my phone. I also had a nice meal at the Japanese restaurant. I'll stay here when I come back to head up the mountain.

The people here were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel has a Communist-era design, seemingly aimed at athletic guests, and it's the only one in town with separate beds in the rooms. Getting to reception and the rooms is somewhat difficult, with several flights of stairs and no elevator.

The beds were small, with very firm mattresses, and the pillows felt more decorative than useful. The room was on the small side and only middling in condition. Service and food were okay. These days the hotel feels like a budget place, but it's generally alright.

The hotel looks dated and a bit kitschy, so my first reaction was basically, “I was afraid, I was petrified...” Still, it was pretty clean. The restaurant matched the same style, though the food tasted good. Using the tennis and football courts costs extra.
