Pascu State

We were welcomed warmly by a very friendly couple, and they let us keep our dogs and cats overnight even though we asked on the spur of the moment. It’s a beautiful area, and I’d be happy to book again. Greetings from Germany, Annett Gaudlitz.

It’s a very peaceful area, and I came back after a year for another relaxing stay. The house had been renovated on the outside, but otherwise it was the same. The host is very kind. The room is small, with old furniture, though it’s clean and well maintained. One downside in snowy weather: you can’t drive up without a jeep, and nobody helps clear the snow.

The smell in the room was unbearable. We were three, me, my husband and our 2-year-old, squeezed into a bed about 1.2m wide. The old, narrow bed only smelled musty and had clean sheets, but the extremely old sofa beside it reeked of urine. The carpet smelled of pee so badly that leaning down to get our bags made me feel sick. There was lots of old upholstery and a very old wardrobe with a horrible smell soaked into it. I tried a few drops of lemongrass oil I had in my bag, but the urine smell was so strong that it was all we could smell. We arrived at the “villa” around 9 in the evening, exhausted, with our child needing to go straight to bed. We made the mistake of compromising and staying, thinking we could cope with the smell, though at first we couldn’t tell exactly what it was. That night was awful. We left first thing in the morning, even though we’d planned to stay longer if the conditions were okay. We’re not fussy at all, but this accommodation was beyond any criticism.

They follow you around at night to see what you’re doing, and a 70-year-old man comes to the door after dark. The accommodation is awful, everything is outdated, and the smell is terrible. The bathroom is miserable, with an odor so bad you can’t go in. DO NOT GO HERE!
