Hotel Ciobanasu

The view was breathtaking, and there was always hot water. Our room was spacious and cost less than I expected for such a great hotel. The food was FANTASTIC, too. The man at reception was polite, kind, and so helpful. We visited in April and they kept the heating on, so the place was warm as well as very clean. It felt elegant, cozy, and pleasant all at once. We really loved it.

The room was huge and so was the bed, but it felt very dark inside. There’s an enclosed balcony, which is a real plus for smokers. The Wi-Fi signal wasn’t great. The restaurant food was average, maybe 3 out of 5, and it’s not cheap. Don’t order the “supa de pui”, it was tasteless. I’d eat downtown instead.

I loved how huge and comfortable our room and bed were, and the service was great. There were a couple of snags, though. Only one person could speak English, so we sometimes had to resort to charades 😁. There’s no air conditioning, and our friends’ room got really hot.

The restaurant food was very good, and the morning coffee was great. The hotel feels almost new, with spacious, very clean rooms in a good location. Prices run from low to medium, and the restaurant and reception staff are very welcoming.
