There’s no reception, but getting in is straightforward: you receive a code by email to open the key box downstairs beside the gate. The entrance is in a small alley between two houses, and the place is right downtown. My room looked out onto Cluj’s main street, and the WiFi was good.

We had to call the manager three times because we couldn’t get into the property. He just said the house cleaner would let us in and was on her way, but she took about 45 minutes to arrive. When she did, the room was far below standard: it hadn’t been cleaned properly, and the bedding was poor quality. The bathroom had just one toilet roll and one liquid soap. The building is very nice and the location is central, but there’s no reception and the manager was rude and dismissive. I won’t stay there again or recommend it to anyone.

The location is good, but the rooms need major work. There was no soap in the shower, and the towels were dirty.

It’s a good fit if you want somewhere with no frills. The location is very central, with plenty of places nearby to eat and drink.

The host was kind and polite. It’s a nice, clean, cozy place close to the city centre.
