A nice hotel in the center of Cluj, though finding parking for the car was a bit of a problem. The nearby parking is really expensive.

The rooms were really bad, and there was mold in the bathroom. There was no parking, and the receptionist was rude and cocky because he was about to quit his job. The worst ever.

The rooms are worn out and lacking, and the appliances need replacing. There’s no air conditioning, and the noise from the area with the most intense traffic in town is hard to ignore. Staff seemed indifferent at best and downright rude at times. Breakfast brought back memories of the old days of hunger, when it might have seemed adequate; the restaurant food was in the same category. There are much better options nearby if you don’t mind walking five minutes to the cathedral instead of just stepping out of the hotel. The location is great, but that’s about it. Maybe it suits someone nostalgic for communist times, when you had to bribe your way into a hotel.

The multilingual staff were friendly, and the location is superb. I stayed in a recently renovated room that was really clean, with a super comfortable bed. I’ll definitely stay again on my next trip to Kolozsvar. One small thing, the duvet felt too small for a king bed. I would have liked more towels too, though I’m sure I could have asked for them.
