Vila Sarofin

We went there to relax and came home more tired. The whole vacation came with a “flex concert,” and the noise carried on through the rest hours. When someone tried to raise it with the owner, he said he needed enough tourists and was behind on the work. But we, along with everyone else putting up with the noise, were tourists too. I’ll attach a video and hope the sound comes through. 👎

The beach is only about five minutes away, and the price was affordable. The villa was clean and spacious, with the things you need for a stay, including air conditioning, fridges, and a barbecue gazebo. I’d recommend it.

I come back every year because it’s a lovely villa and the host is so warm and welcoming. They’re wonderful people, and I recommend staying here with confidence.

We left after 4-5 nights, once we understood what the place was like. It was a terrible experience, and we can’t recommend it. The owners seem focused on making money, and the rooms cost far too much for what you get. With those prices, you might as well feel like you’re staying right at the Costinești train station, especially with the constant commotion and people arriving for one-night stays from the station. Mornings from 7:30-8 were chaos. Guests are supposed to be able to use the gazebo, but when a group cooks there every day and fills the fridge with things like potatoes, onions, frozen cheese, and meat, there’s no chance to sit there or even make coffee in the kettle. The owners also don’t seem to be animal lovers. They charge tourists who bring pets, but the pet has to stay in the room. Meanwhile, they chase away the animals born and raised in their own yard, kill them, leave them hungry, and won’t even let guests give them water.
