Hotel Plutitor Splendid

Our six-day stay was a total disappointment. The room had lots of bugs, mold everywhere, including in the air-conditioning vent, a bad smell, big holes in the bathroom walls and mold under the wallpaper. The hot tub was very dirty, though staff cleaned it on the second day after I asked. The power kept cutting out, leaving us without air conditioning and making the room very hot. Room service didn’t exist during our stay, and there was a serious staff shortage in summer 2019. There isn’t much to do apart from boating or renting hydro-bikes. You’re basically left with the boat and a very small island where you can fish or have coffee. There was no water or tea in the room. You could get water from the restaurant if any was available, otherwise you had to buy it at the bar. The restaurant had just one dish unless you told them what you wanted to eat four hours before the fixed meal times, 8AM, 2PM and 8PM. Sometimes dinner wasn’t ready until 9.30 PM, and there was no menu, so you had to eat what they’d prepared for everyone. The optional trips were cheap, but poor service spoiled them. They brought us to the floating hotel in a small speedboat meant for six, but there were ten of us aboard. Some people found their luggage soaked because the boat couldn’t handle ten passengers and their bags. Booking rated the hotel five stars, so I’m judging it by that standard. I can’t recommend it after such a bad experience. I’m attaching photos so customers can see for themselves.
