The food was simply extraordinary, and Nea Nelu was an excellent host. She took us fishing and showed us some of the most beautiful places. We stayed at her place for 3 days, and I highly recommend it!

The boat route was explained really well, and we saw authentic, beautiful spots, including some that don’t even appear on Google Maps. The rented apartment was excellent, clean, warm and well kept, with all the comforts we needed, including hot water all the time. The staff were kind and attentive to every detail, and the welcoming atmosphere made the stay feel complete. The traditional food was delicious too: storceag, pike perch, carp, brine and the area’s inevitable garlic. A complete, authentic 5-star experience that I recommend with confidence.

The hosts made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The guesthouse is right on the waterfront, with spotless rooms, new furniture and plenty of space. They cook fresh fish with authentic recipes, and the food satisfies anyone looking for traditional dishes. The boats are new, the routes are unforgettable, and the host’s stories about each place, the flora and the fauna made our time there memorable.

We had three magical days at Timona Guesthouse, with Mrs. Laura and Nelu Ghica as perfect hosts and Maria and Cati helping out. The group really appreciated how clean everything was, the food, especially the best carp brine and delicious caviar, and how willing they were to meet our group’s wishes. A boat trip to Sulina was one of our favorites. Enisala Fortress was very easy to reach, about an hour by car, and from Jurilovxa you can get to Gura Portiței. Thank you for everything you gave us. We’ll definitely return, feeling like we’ve already found a lovely family of friends! ❤️
