The pool and bar shut at 7 pm, and after that we were told to leave even the poolside. I still don't understand why. The staff were the weakest part of our stay. The receptionist couldn't answer questions about the beach or town, and the bar staff seemed overwhelmed by any request. Prices felt way too high: a Carlsber beer was 20 RON without a beer glass, and a 14 RON coffee meant espresso only. Breakfast was at another hotel, a three-minute walk from Topaz, and there was no kitchen or breakfast on site, perhaps because we came before the season. The hotel itself has been refurbished nicely, and I liked the interior design.

The room had a sea view and air conditioning, and the place was very clean. Staff were friendly too.
