Gorgova Inn

You can walk to the Sulina canal in just a few minutes for a good fishing session, so the location works perfectly if fishing is your thing. The owners are really nice and available whenever you need them. The food, mostly fish, is great too. There's plenty to do outside even if you're not fishing, and the fairly big outdoor pool is a nice place to relax. You can also rent a motor boat from the owner and head farther out to the lakes to spin for pike and other predatory fish. I'll definitely come back.

It's a nice family run inn, with warm, honest people. The rooms are clean, and there's a big yard and swimming pool where you can have fun with friends or enjoy some time by yourself. The food is tasty and has local flavors, with excellent fish dishes made from fresh fish each day. A good base for a quiet holiday and for visiting one of the world's most spectacular protected areas.

Mircea and Maria, his mother, are wonderful hosts. We ate all kinds of fish, including the best ciorba de peste ever 🙂 It's a perfect fishing spot. The kids can enjoy the lovely pool while you spend some good days exploring the Danube Delta channels.

The owner really knows the Delta, so if you go sightseeing with him, you won't be disappointed. It's a nice base for exploring all the wonderful places nearby.
