Arcadia Hotel - Marina Regia Residence

Breakfast was good enough, and the place was quiet with plenty of outdoor parking. Our room had a lovely terrace overlooking the inner courtyard. Inside, it was very warm everywhere, around 25-30 degrees even in March. The round spa hotel has a baroque feel, with heated floors, personal bathrobes, and a large indoor pool fitted with powerful water jets and underwater lights. I can’t wait to visit in summer.

The balcony, which is more like a private terrace, had a beautiful view of the inner courtyard. The beds were cozy, and the rooms were clean, well maintained, and okay in size. The architecture and decor are fantastic and luxurious, with a feel of Roman history. I wasn’t keen on the shower: it’s cramped, the water pressure isn’t great, and I’d rather have more space than the hydromassage feature. There’s also an interior door to the next room that isn’t soundproof, so you can hear the other guests.

I’ve had very good stays here every time, and can’t fault the staff or service. The location is amazing, and to me this is the best hotel in Mamaia, alongside one other. It really feels like a five-star stay. I love the place, though I wish cancellation arrangements were more flexible. The kitchen closes at 11 pm, a small drawback that seems common across Mamaia hotels.
