Fiesta Dunarii

We found the room price on arrival was different from the price on Booking, even though the pictures there are accurate. The price felt unjustified for the quality, and I wouldn’t recommend it. There was a damp smell in the room, no bin in it, and the veranda looked out onto the back of the house. It could use two chairs and a small table. In the bathroom, the sink’s cold water wasn’t running at all, the shower holder was broken, and there were no holders for toilet paper or towels. The bin had no plastic liner. Cleaning seemed rushed, with toothpaste left in the sink by the guests who had just checked out. A direct phone number for the person welcoming guests would also be useful.

The building is new and has superb architecture. Since there aren’t many restaurants around, having a kitchen of its own, equipped with everything, is a real plus. Cleanliness could use more attention, though. The carpet in the rooms wasn’t a great choice, as the high humidity in the area leaves a musty smell.

There’s no restaurant, but guests can use the kitchen. The guesthouse is lovely, with good accommodation for good prices. It opened in December 2016, has its own boat, and can arrange Danube trips when people request them.

A nice place for a weekend with friends. The guesthouse is clean, the staff are friendly, and there’s enough room in the living room for a small party. They even have Netflix :)
