Hotel Orizont

We’re staying here now with a group of 50 people. The hotel itself is very good, with big rooms, a nice view and good breakfasts. But the way the restaurant manager handled our request was not okay. We were delayed by problems on the road, called the hotel and asked them to wait for us for dinner. We were ready to pay extra for the waitresses and kitchen, but the answer was no. The manager wouldn’t speak with us directly and sent his decisions through the guy at reception, who was the person we spoke with. Thank you to him. I understand there are schedules, and we work in hotel service too. Communication is a main part of this work, but we weren’t able to have any communication or work out a solution.

There wasn’t hot water on the first day, the coffee was poor, and the room smelled bad and didn’t have enough light. The water was just tap water, the music was really bad, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The people are friendly and accommodating, and the service is great. The hotel itself seems past its best, though. There’s little or no AC in the rooms, repairs take a while, and the showers often leak across the bathroom floor, so you have to use towels to dry it up.

The location is great, the spa and its receptionist were great, and breakfast was included and really good. Checkout was less pleasant. I’d forgotten about the extra 20 RON resort tax, so I asked my mom to give me 20 RON in cash. I only had my card and didn’t want to dig for my wallet at the bottom of my bag. The receptionist seemed annoyed, didn’t smile and was frowning while I waited about three minutes for the cash. I paid in cash once I got it. Please don’t hire staff who are unfriendly or lack patience.
