Casa Savri

Lovely little place, cute and spotless, with a perfect location. The lady at reception was wonderful, too. My only real issue was how uncomfortable the very soft mattresses were. Our downstairs room also picked up a lot of noise from the floor above, so light sleepers might want to ask for a room on the 1st floor. I'd still come back, maybe with earplugs.

Kusum was the highlight, such a friendly, helpful and genuine host, and we left with fond memories. The shared spaces were lovely for meeting people, playing billiards or reading on the sunny patio. Our beds were comfortable, everything was clean, and the hotel's charm brings out the area's historic architecture, warmth and authenticity. Savri House is perfectly placed for exploring the old town on foot, close to all the action but still quiet. We highly recommend staying here.

On some very hot days, our air-conditioned room was a lovely place to retreat. The rooms and shared spaces were clean, and breakfast was good. The old building in Sighișoara does have a dusty, fusty, musty sort of feel.

I was really looking forward to staying here, but this has been incredibly frustrating. I booked through Expedia and paid for the protection plan in case I needed to cancel or change my reservation. While visiting, we had to reschedule one of our tours, and when I tried to move the stay to another date, that date wasn't available. I understand that, but even after Expedia contacted the property for me, they were adamant about not refunding my money. This wasn't a last-minute request. I tried to change it days ahead. The protection I paid for felt completely pointless, and now I've lost the money and have to pay for another place. Only book if you're absolutely sure you won't need travel protection.
