Hotel Arca Lui Noe

The balcony has fantastic views, and there's plenty of parking. Breakfast had lots of options, though the swimming pool is small, so it's best to go when other guests aren't using it. Dinner was tasty but took a while to arrive. It's quite a trek uphill from the town center, and the hotel could use a bit of TLC.

Breakfast was actually okay, but the restaurant food wasn't great, so I'd eat out. The shower was basically broken, with nowhere to put the shower head, which just dangled. There was hair on the supposedly disinfected toilet in our room. They switched us to another room, which we really appreciated. This didn't feel like a four-star hotel at all. I've had cleaner rooms, friendlier staff and better service at two-star places. Most of the staff seemed unwilling to talk or help, apart from one woman. I felt like a criminal just for wanting to use the sauna. In the end, the stay was all right.

The balcony, clean room, on-site restaurant, and private parking were all nice. The room felt a little cramped for me, and some parts of the place could use repairs or a renovation, even if the fixes seem minor. Free Wi-Fi was unreliable, and there were no outlets by the bed. I’d have rated it higher if I hadn’t expected a four-star hotel.

The location is great and the rooms look nice, but I found the place far too expensive, as seems common in Romania. There was a strange smell, the sheets were worn, and the Wi-Fi was unusable, just as other reviews mentioned. The shower also took several minutes to warm up.
