Vila Lucica

There were some good points: the living room was large, the accommodation spacious, and there was a pool table. Plenty of slippers meant we didn't need to bring our own, and the fridge was big. The kitchen was moderately equipped. The central heating warmed our rooms nicely in the evening, pets are allowed, which is rare in Romania, and the owners are very charismatic. But the bed was broken. The owner knew about it and had put a nightstand under the frame as support, thinking that fixed it. We found out at 2 am, when there was nobody to call, and it happened again the next day. After using the wardrobe twice, I was left holding its door. The ground-floor mattress felt old, with springs digging into my back. The first-floor mattresses were more okay. We knew from the map that DN would be noisy, but the chicken coop beside the villa made noise all evening and especially in the morning. The oven didn't work, and nobody had mentioned that. In the ground-floor room, the TV remote still didn't work even after we changed the batteries. When we left, I put the key on the table and told the owner where it was, but he didn't check there. Instead, he called us three times and yelled that he couldn't find it.

The highway is right next to the place, so it was very noisy. The linen was unwashed, the towels and curtains were stained, and the beds had been made carelessly when we arrived. There is a billiard table, but the cue tips are bent.

The room costs quite a lot for what's offered. It's right by the DN, with lots of noise, no parking except along the national road, and a very small yard.
