Pensiunea Sighisoara

A little dust in the rooms, but it wasn’t a big deal for a short stay. We were only stopping for 1-2 nights, and it worked out very well. The host was friendly, waited for us, and showed us where to drive in. We’d booked just two hours ahead, and they picked us up quickly. The host also suggested places to see both in town and in the surrounding area.

We had six rooms at this guesthouse. We’re not a demanding group, but there were several things that bothered us. The kitchen has no stove, and there was no barbecue. We were told one had been removed because some tourists made noise, but that didn’t seem like a convincing reason to us, since people can make noise without a barbecue. The pool also isn’t just for guests staying at the guesthouse. We found outsiders there, including the owner and other couples relaxing by the pool. That wouldn’t have been a problem if the listing had said so clearly, but leaving it out can be confusing. We didn’t feel very welcomed, either. Being told, “you have everything you need here, you can pay now, in euros or lei” didn’t come across as hospitable. I understand this is a tourist area and that running a business takes effort, but the facilities should be described more clearly, and the welcome could be better. I can see why the reviews I’d read beforehand were less favorable, and I agree with them. Just my opinion, but I hope it helps future guests and the hosts.

We felt so at home here that we now consider the people in Sighișoara friends, and we’ll be back to see them more often. The host was special, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. The pool was a real highlight on hot days, with exceptionally clean water. The kitchen was fully equipped, too. A truly excellent place.

The owner is so kind and helpful, and the price is affordable. The rooms are clean and well set up, the kitchen is equipped, and there are terraces. I’ve liked staying here for years. The pool is clean and well arranged, too. I recommend it with confidence.
