Hotel Szeifert

The hotel itself was good, but the service wasn’t. Ms Ildiko was not friendly at all. I hope the manager takes action over the way this employee treated tourists.

We ended up cancelling the booking and leaving. There was no AC in the rooms, and in building B the main entrance was locked while the back entrance was open to anyone. Check-in was poor, with some odd, outdated forms to fill out. The attempt to stay here was disappointing.

The food was excellent, and the staff were friendly. The hotel sits by the Black Lake, with a lovely landscape, and it’s a 10-minute walk to the resort’s main lake, Ursu [Bear]. Rooms were spotless and had quality furniture, and the living conditions were excellent. Probably one of the best hotels in town. Two small suggestions: use better coffee beans, and offer the little afternoon croissants at breakfast too, alongside the coffee.

The staff were kind, welcoming, and helpful, and the apartment was spotless and well equipped. We stayed three nights in the Presidential Suite, which was beautiful and very comfortable. The photos speak for themselves. The location is perfect, right in the center of town beside Black Lake. We can’t recommend it enough.
