Valea Negrașului

The restaurant was the weakest part for me. Prices are quite high, the food was disappointing, and the two chefs should have retired. The menu isn’t varied, with just one kind of soup, though you can choose beef or chicken for the meat. For dinner, I recommend Cabana Veverita instead. At reception, the two women seemed rather dull and whiny, and brought things to our table that we hadn’t ordered. The grounds are fairly large and in a beautiful, isolated spot at the foot of the mountain, a good setting for families. There are two trampolines, but most of the sun loungers are broken, as are the go-karts, which can’t be used at all. I don’t understand why they’re still there. There are also two ponies kept as lawn mowers, plus pigeons and bunnies for the little ones. The rooms are quite modest and non-motorized, but at 150 lei per room per night you can’t expect too much. The air was rather stuffy, perhaps because some guests had smoked. The triple rooms the owner calls apartments are above the kitchen, so you get all the smells if you leave a window open.

The Negraș River is just 100 meters away, and the place is quiet, secluded and easy to reach. It’s a good, affordable spot for families or anyone wanting to relax for a few days. The food is okay, prices are very good overall, and the staff are decent and do their jobs well. It deserves more appreciation. My only reservation is that the place hasn’t had more investment. The rooms could use better furniture and shower cabins, and the lovely yard could be made superb with more for children and better areas for the animals. Without those improvements, I worry people will stop looking for it. It worked well for me. Thank you.

The hosts were welcoming and the food was good. It’s a beautiful, peaceful location, with a lovely courtyard, playground and animals that delight visitors young and old. Thanks, we can’t wait to return! 🤗♥️

It’s in a beautiful spot, away from the city bustle. There’s no phone signal, only Wi-Fi, and that can be unreliable when the place is crowded.
