Tohanu Vechi

It’s an older place, but it had everything we needed and was very clean. I felt at home there, almost like with family. The chef was excellent, and both the presentation and quality of the food were spot on. I travel all over and rarely leave reviews, but you could tell someone takes real pride in this place. I’m from another country, yet it still made me feel at home.

We booked a small double room with breakfast for a weekend, and slept really well. It was comfortable and a good size, with a generous, well-equipped bathroom. Our room was on the second floor and had a ceiling window that let in lovely daylight. The staff were super kind, and breakfast was decent with a good range. Phone signal and mobile data were poor, so I’d use the free Wi-Fi. Maybe the signal is better outside. We’ll definitely come back.

A nice place with tasteful decor. Breakfast was okay, though you had to wait for someone to appear and order milk, even with cereal and biscuits set out for self-service. There’s no do-not-disturb sign, and they come in to clean the room every day. At the entrance, access is closed at night or when the dog is loose, so you need to call them. Ringing the bell doesn’t help.

The place is nice, but it could use a few fixes. There should be milk ready at breakfast, and a do-not-disturb sign so staff don’t enter the room without notice. It would also help to keep the entrance open or have someone available at reception.
