We came by to look at the place a day before booking, since we wanted a change of scenery from where we were staying. The lake is visible only from some rooms and perhaps the garden. Service was good, though slow, especially at the restaurant. In our bathroom, the shower was right by the door and the water didn't drain properly, so showering wasn't enjoyable. WiFi worked only at the restaurant, or perhaps it was just our devices.

The location and views were great, and getting there by scooter was easy for me. I'm an experienced rider, though, so beginners might find the trip harder. The rooms were cozy and kept out the rain well, so I was comfortable the whole time. There was sometimes music from the neighbors in the evening, but it didn't really bother me. I stayed in the Deluxe Double Room at Macheo Eco Lodge. Breakfast was great and came quickly, I could use the refrigerators on site, and they handled my extra requests without any issues. They were also flexible about checkout, which I appreciated. The bathroom and toilet are separate, everything was clean and well maintained, and the toilets had the best view ever. For the price, it's a great place to stay. WiFi worked well everywhere, even in my room, and I could work remotely without problems. Highly recommended.

The food was delicious, though portions were on the small side, and breakfast was great. It's up on a small hill with an amazing view, and the rooms are fine. The bar across the way playing music during the day was a bit annoying. Thanks!

The location is okay, but the food takes hours and they don't have the ingredients. Rooms are poorly maintained. Kibuye has better options offering the same.

It was quiet and peaceful, with a nice warm shower. The staff were great, and the food was tasty, especially the chicken. Terrific value, though the access road was difficult to manage in a vehicle without high clearance.
