Heaven Restaurant & Boutique Hotel

The breakfast buffet was excellent, and I really enjoyed the hot stone massage. The staff were also very friendly and genuinely tried to help. Still, the accommodation left a lot to be desired. My villa room faced a busy four-lane road, with no effective noise insulation or blackout curtains. On the first evening, the shower was lukewarm. I was upgraded to the residence, but the problems continued. The charming, dorm-like building needs proper soundproofing: I could clearly hear neighboring guests talking and arriving, and squeaky doors made the noise worse. During my nine-day work stay in Kigali, the lack of basic comfort, especially all the noise, made the experience far more exhausting than restful. Regrettably, I can’t recommend the hotel as it is now.

The live music was amazing 🤗, and the brunch was great too. Brian, the gentleman who served us, took good care of us, and other staff kept checking that everything was okay. Definitely recommend Sunday brunch!

The night before we were due to arrive on 29 November, our travel companion, who was already at the hotel, was told our reservation had disappeared from their system. We were given the choice of paying a much higher rate or finding somewhere else at the last minute. This was despite having paid in July and having confirmation from Booking.com and the hotel, including another confirmation shortly before arrival. The way it was handled was very poor and caused needless last-minute stress.

The evening before our planned arrival on 29 November, we were told our booking had vanished and that we could either pay more or find other accommodation. We'd paid and had the reservation confirmed several times. It caused a lot of unnecessary stress at the last minute.
