Macchiato Suites

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, especially Freddy, who we really enjoyed getting to know. The rooms were great, and we had a great time at Macchiato Suites. Breakfast was fantastic, too.

I’ve stayed here several times over a few years, and the service and communication have always been good. The rooms are clean and well equipped, though there are no mosquito nets. The cooking is good, and breakfast included in the price was great. I can recommend it.

The rooftop deck has a fabulous open-air view of the street and city. We ate there every evening, and the restaurant did a terrific job. Breakfast is included, the menu changes, and it was always great. Our favorites were the traditional Rwandan breakfasts, and the fresh fruit was great too. Prices are an amazing bargain. This is a very well-run independent hotel, with conscientious, super friendly staff and thoughtful details everywhere. They were very accommodating, and it’s bike friendly. Motos are right at the doorway, and taxis are easy to get. Everything was perfect. I can’t say enough good things about the hotel or Andrew. Google lists it as an apartment, but that isn’t accurate. It’s a full-service hotel with staff on site around the clock.

The rooftop balcony restaurant was lovely, and the place was very quiet. My room was clean and spacious, the staff were super friendly and spoke good English, and breakfast was great. Such good value for a single room. I was so happy to find it! The location shown on Google Maps is off. It’s down the street on the corner, so try to get the right spot before taking a moto taxi. The staff can help you find it if you call.
